Default Parameters for CouchDBDbsTest Apache CouchDB is an open-source document-oriented NoSQL database. Unlike a relational database, a CouchDB database does not store data and relationships in tables. Instead, each database is a collection of independent documents. Storage space contentions on a database can result in the loss of critical data. To avoid this, administrators should keep a close watch on the space usage of the database, proactively detect a space crunch, and promptly resolve it. This is where the CouchDBDbsTest test helps. This test monitors the space usage of the database and alerts are promptly sent out if the database is running out of space. This page depicts the default parameters that need to be configured for the CouchDBDbsTest.
When changing default configurations of tests, the values with “$” indicate variables that will be replaced by the eG system according to the specific server being managed - for instance, $hostName is the host/nickname of the target host, $port is the port number of the server being monitored. E.g., for a server xyz:80, $hostName will be changed automatically by the eG manager to “xyz*” and $port will be changed to “80” when configuring a test. |
