Default Parameters for CtxGwUptimeTest In most production environments, it is essential to monitor the uptime of critical servers/devices in the infrastructure. By tracking the uptime of each of the servers/device, administrators can determine what percentage of time a server/device has been up. Comparing this value with service level targets, administrators can determine the most trouble-prone areas of the infrastructure. In some environments, administrators may schedule periodic reboots of their servers/devices. By knowing that a specific server/device has been up for an unusually long time, an administrator may come to know that the scheduled reboot task is not working on a server/device. The CtxGwUptimeTest included in the eG agent monitors the uptime of the target Citrix Cloud Gateway Connector. This page depicts the default parameters that need to be configured for the CtxGwUptimeTest.
When changing default configurations of tests, the values with “$” indicate variables that will be replaced by the eG system according to the specific server being managed - for instance, $hostName is the host/nickname of the target host, $port is the port number of the server being monitored. E.g., for a server xyz:80, $hostName will be changed automatically by the eG manager to “xyz*” and $port will be changed to “80” when configuring a test. |
