Default Parameters for MySQLCluInLctest InnoDB implements standard row-level locking where there are two types of locks, shared ( S ) locks and exclusive ( X ) locks. A shared ( S ) lock permits the transaction that holds the lock to read a row in a table. An exclusive ( X ) lock permits the transaction that holds the lock to update or delete a row. The locking activity of an InnoDB table in the database server must be monitored carefully because an application holding a specific lock for a long time could cause a number of other transactions relying on the same lock to fail. The MySQLCluInLctest monitors the locking activity on the InnoDB tables in each node of the target cluster database server . This page depicts the default parameters that need to be configured for the MySQLCluInLctest.
When changing default configurations of tests, the values with “$” indicate variables that will be replaced by the eG system according to the specific server being managed - for instance, $hostName is the host/nickname of the target host, $port is the port number of the server being monitored. E.g., for a server xyz:80, $hostName will be changed automatically by the eG manager to “xyz*” and $port will be changed to “80” when configuring a test. |
