INFRASTRUCTURE - MICROSOFT O365 TENANTS

In any cloud-hosted service, service disruptions, downtime and slow connectivity issues are bound to affect business continuity and Office 365 administrators require actionable insight to proactively alert them when performance starts to degrade and to help them resolve problems quickly. Though the Office 365 dashboard helps administrators in this regard, they may still be interested in viewing the service disruptions, downtime, and connectivity issues relevant to one/more domains in the target environment alone. To help administrators in this regard, eG Enterprise allows administrators configure Tenants from the eG administrative interface. By default, if service-level Microsoft O365 components (Microsoft Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft O365 etc) are monitored in the target environment, then, the Tenant i.e., the Nick name assigned to the whole bunch of O365 products will be discovered and displayed in the Microsoft O365 Tenants page of the eG administrative interface. If the administrators wish to create a new tenant for which they wish to view the Microsoft O365 dashboard and the reports pertaining to the Microsoft O365 components, then, they are allowed to configure the tenants of their choice from the eG administrative interface.

The Microsoft O365 Tenants page appears when you click on the Microsoft O365 Tenants option from the Infrastructure tile that appears when you click on the icon available in the Admin tab.

  • By default, this page consists of two panels - the Discovered Tenant panel, which lists all the discovered tenants in the target environment, and the Configured Tenant panel, which lists all the tenants that are configured by the administrators.

  • To add a new tenant, click the Add New Tenant button available in the top right corner of the Configured Tenant panel. For more details, Click here.

  • To modify a tenant, click the icon against the chosen tenant. For more details, Click here.

  • To view the tenant details, click the icon against the chosen tenant. For more details, Click here.

  • To rename a tenant, click the icon against the chosen tenant. For more details on how to rename a tenant, Click here.

  • To delete a tenant, click the icon against the chosen tenant.

  • To delete one/more tenants, select the check box preceding the tenants of your choice in the Configured Tenant panel and click the icon.

  • To allow you to quickly search for a tenant, a Search text box has been included in the Discovered Tenant and Configured Tenant panels where you can specify the whole/part of the Tenant. The results of your search will be displayed as and when you type the search string in the Search text box.
