Discovering Components using remote agents

This page appears when you click on a Component Type listed in the Discover/Monitor <Target> Infrastructure using <chosen remote agent> page.

Using this page, you can configure a server that will be used by the remote agent to discover the target environment via the configured server. For example, if you configure a Citrix ADC VPX//MPX server, the remote agent will be able to discover all other Citrix ADC VPX/MPX servers and the Citrix StoreFront servers in the target environment.

Similarly, you can perform the following by configuring the appropriate servers using this page:

• Discover VMware vSphere/ESX hosts via VMware vCenter;
• Discover IBM pSeries servers via HMC server;
• Discover RHEV servers via RHEV Manager;
• Discover Citrix Hypervisors in a Citrix Hypervisor pool;
• Discover Nutanix Acropolis using Nutanix Prism and;
• Discover Oracle VM Servers using Oracle VM Manager

Once you configure the credentials of the server that you wish to use for disocvery by the remote agent, the target environment will be discovered in a hassle-free manner. This way, with a few mouse clicks, you can discover all the components in the target environment and make a component monitoring-ready using the Overview page!
