eG Monitoring

The SuperManager Home Page

Any user who logs into the eG SuperManager's interface can view an ALARMS window that lists all the current alarms pertaining to every eG manager operating in the environment. Behind this window, the SuperManager home page exists. This page reveals the current status of the every eG manager in terms of the total number of measurements that have been collected by each of the managers, the percentage of measurements in the Critical, Normal, and Unknown state, the number of unresolved issues, and the average and maximum durations for which a problem had remained unresolved. Clicking on a manager's name will lead you to the monitor home page of the corresponding manager.

The menu at the right top corner of the page provides for the following:

  • Switching to the SuperManager HOME page from anywhere in the monitor interface
  • Signing out of the SuperManager
  • Viewing and modifying the profile of the current monitor user
  • Invoking a context-sensitive help topic

Note:

By default, the home page refreshes every 2 minutes. This is indicated by the HomePageTime setting in the [REFRESH] section of the eg_supermanager.ini file (in the {EG_INSTALL_DIR}\manager\config directory), which is set to 120 seconds by default. If need be, you can change this refresh period by editing the HomePageTime setting in the eg_supermanager.ini file.
