Measures reported by CUCMTrapTest
This test intercepts the failure traps sent by the Cisco Unified Communications Manager, extracts relevant information related to the device failures and malicious calls from the traps, and reports the count of these trap messages to the eG manager.
Outputs of the test : One set of results for the target Cisco Unified Communications manager being monitored.
The measures made by this test are as follows:
| Measurement |
Description |
Measurement Unit |
Interpretation |
| CM_fail |
Indicates the number of call manager failure events that were triggered during the last measurement period. |
Number |
The failure events may be generated due to failure in one of Cisco UCM's critical subsystems. It can also get detected from a heartbeat/event monitoring process.
Ideally, the value of this measure should be zero. |
| Ph_fail |
Indicates the number of phone failure events that were triggered during the last measurement period. |
Number |
Ideally, the value of this measure should be zero. |
| Gateway_fail |
Indicates the number of gateway failure events that were triggered during the last measurement period. |
Number |
The failure events may be generated when at least one gateway attempted to register or communicate with the Cisco UCM and failed.
Ideally, the value of this measure should be zero. |
| Mal_call |
Indicates the number of malicious call events that were triggered during the last measurement period. |
Number |
The failure events may be generated when a user has triggered malicious call tracing by pressing the MCID softkey.
Ideally, the value of this measure should be zero. |
