Measures reported by ProxHypGuestStatusTest

This test enables administrators to determine how many VMs have registered with the target Proxmox Hypervisor, and how many of these are currently running. Additionally, this test reveals the count of VMs that are not running and are paused. This way, administrators can determine the count of unused VMs that are unnecessarily hogging resources. In the process, this test promptly alerts administrators to addition/removal of VMs from the target hypervisor.

The measures made by this test are as follows:

Measurement Description Measurement Unit Interpretation
Registered_vms Indicates the total number of VMs that have been registered with the Proxmox Hypervisor. Number The detailed diagnosis of this measure reveals the name and IP address of each VM, the operating system on which the VM is running and name of the user who logged in to the VM.
Running_vms Indicates the number of VMs that are currently running on the Proxmox Hypervisor. Number The detailed diagnosis of this measure reveals the name and IP address of each VM that is currently running, the operating system on which the VM is running and name of the user who logged in to the VM.
Not_running_vms Indicates the number of VMs that are not currently running on the Proxmox Hypervisor. Number The detailed diagnosis of this measure reveals the name and IP address of each VM that is not currently running, the operating system on which the VM is running and name of the user who logged in to the VM.
Paused_vms Indicates the number of VMs that are currently paused. Number The detailed diagnosis of this measure reveals the name and IP address of each VM that is in paused state, the operating system on which the VM is running and name of the user who logged in to the VM.
Added_vms Indicates the number of VMs that are newly added to the Proxmox Hypervisor. Number The detailed diagnosis of this measure reveals the name and IP address of each VM that is newly added, the operating system on which the VM is running and name of the user who logged in to the VM.
Removed_vms Indicates the number of VMs that are removed from the Proxmox Hypervisor. Number The detailed diagnosis of this measure reveals the name and IP address of each VM that was removed from the target hypervisor, the operating system on which the VM is running and name of the user who logged in to the VM.
