Measures reported by CisAPMemUsTest In a wireless local area network (WLAN), an access point is a station that transmits and receives data (sometimes referred to as a transceiver). The access point is attached to the WLAN controller (WLC) and it onnects users to other users within the network and also can serve as the point of interconnection between the WLAN and a fixed wire network. In some instances, excessive memory utilization by an access point can lead to network connectivity issues. To avoid such issues, you have to constantly monitor the memory usage of every access point connected with the target wireless LAN controller. This is where the CisAPMemUsTest helps. This test measures the memory utilization of every access point, and points you to those access points that have been consistently over-utilizing memory. The test also reports the current memory utilization of each access point, so that sudden spikes in memory usage can be promptly captured.
