Measures reported by VCFlxProfileTest

VC server profiles are logical groups of settings for a particular server. In other words, these profiles are used to define the role or roles associated with a server. Specified settings can include BIOS settings, network interface card (NIC) settings, media access control (MAC) address settings, etc. With server profiles, servers can be managed from one central area. You can access Virtual Connect Enterprise Manager (VCEM) though a browser-based GUI to configure and deploy server profiles in the VC environment. You can access the majority of VCEM operations, including the following profile core tasks:

  • Define server profiles and link to available LAN and SAN network resources.

  • Assign server profiles to enclosure bays.

  • Move server profiles between VC domains or domain groups.

  • Change, move, or automatically failover server profiles to spare servers.

The VCFlxProfileTest monitors the server profiles on the target environment and reports the current status for each profile.

Outputs of the test: One set of results for each Profile of the target HP VC Flex.
