Measures reported by CtxCdCpuTest

One of the probable reasons for the poor performance of Cloud Connectors in Citrix Cloud Site is excessive CPU usage. Cloud Connectors operating with constrained CPU resources may also impact service availability, functionality or performance of the target cloud site. Administrators should hence continuously track how well the Cloud Connectors utilize CPU resources, so that abnormal usage patterns can be proactively detected and corrected to ensure peak performance of the Cloud Connectors in the target site. This CPU usage check can be performed using the CtxCdCpuTest test.

This test auto discovers the CPU processors on the Cloud Connectors connected to the target site, and for each CPU processor, reports the CPU usage at configured intervals. This measure helps administrators to easily find out excessive usage of CPU processor (if any).

Outputs of the test : One set of results for every pair of resource location:CPU processor on the cloud connector that is connected to the target cloud site.

The measures made by this test are as follows:

Measurement Description Measurement Unit Interpretation
CPU_usage Indicates the percentage of CPU resources of this processor currently utilized. Percent A high value for this measure or a value close to 100% could either indicate excessive usage of the processor or that one/more processes are contending for limited CPU resources.

For the Summary descriptor, this measure will reveal the average utilization percentage of CPU resources of each processor.
