Measures reported by vCldActivMQTest

The message bus in the vCloud Director cell is used for inter-cell communication, based on ActiveMQ (the message broker) and JMS (which defines the message format).

This test reports the health of the message bus connection and helps the administrator to figure out the number of vCloud Director cells that are currently reachable and not reachable in a vCloud Director infrastructure.

The measures made by this test are as follows:

Is_healthy Indicates whether/not the message bus connection to peer cell from this vCloud Director cell is healthy.

In the case of the global descriptor, the overall health of the message bus connection to the vCloud Director cell is taken into consideration.

  This measure reports a value Yes if the message bus connection is healthy and a value No if otherwise.

The numeric values that correspond to the above-mentioned measure values are as follows:

Note:

By default, this measure reports the above-mentioned Measure Values while indicating the health of the message bus connection. However, the graph of this measure will be represented using the corresponding numeric equivalents of the Measure Values as mentioned in the table above.

Reachable_cells Indicates the number of vCloud Director cells that are currently reachable in the vCloud Director infrastructure. Number This measure is applicable only for the global descriptor.
Unreachable_cells Indicates the number of vCloud Director cells that are currently not reachable in the vCloud Director infrastructure. Number This measure is applicable only for the global descriptor.
