Measures reported by UCSCsSrvMemArrTest The Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) is a next-generation data center platform that unites computing, network, storage access, and virtualization services into a cohesive system that reduces the total cost of ownership (TCO) and increases business agility. This system integrates a low-latency, lossless 10-Gigabit Ethernet unified network fabric with enterprise-class, x86-architecture servers. It is an integrated, scalable, multi-chassis platform in which all resources participate in a unified management domain. The Cisco UCS system consists of various hardware components that work together and give a view of single system. The components of a UCS system are:
The entire Cisco UCS system is managed by a software called Cisco UCS Manager which is embedded in the Cisco UCS Fabric Interconnects. The Cisco UCS blade servers are based on x86 architecture and support Microsoft Windows, Red hat Linux, variants of UNIX, and virtualization software like VMware ESX. This test monitors the temperature of each of the memory arrays of the blade servers loaded in a chassis, and reports any abnormal increase in temperature. The measures made by this test are as follows:
