Measures reported by VCConnectTest

A View Connection Server is a software service that acts as a broker for client connections. View Connection Server authenticates users through Windows Active Directory and directs the request to the appropriate virtual machine, physical or blade PC, or Windows Terminal Services server.

This test reports the status of the vCenter connection with the View Connection Server.

The measures made by this test are as follows:

Measurement Description Measurement Unit Interpretation
vcServerCon Indicates whether the vCenter connectivity is available to the VMware View server or not.   This measure reports either Ok or Not available as the status of the vCenter connectivity. The numeric values that correspond to the above-mentioned states are as follows:

Note:

By default, this measure reports the above-mentioned states while indicating the status of the vCenter connectivity. However, the graph of this measure will be represented using the corresponding numeric equivalents of the states as mentioned in the table above.
