Measures reported by HMCManagSerDetTest

This test reports the state of the pSeries servers managed by the HMC server being monitored as well as the number of serviceable events that were open and closed for the pSeries servers.

The measures reported by this test are as follows:

Measurement Description Measurement Unit Interpretation
State Indicates the current state of this pSeries server.   This measure reports the following states while mentioning the operating status of the pSeries server:
  • Power off
  • Operating
  • Error
  • Authentication

The numeric values that correspond to the above-mentioned states are as follows:

Operating 1
Error 2
Authentication 3

Note:

By default, this measure reports the above-mentioned States while mentioning the status of the managed pSeries server. However, the graph of this measure will be represented using the numeric equivalents i.e., 0 to 3.
Tot_open_evnts Indicates the total number of serviceable events that are currently open for this pSeries server. Number This measure would be reported only if the EnableHMCEvents flag in the <eG_INSTALL_DIR>\manager\config\eg_tests.ini file is set to yes.
Recnt_open_evnts Indicates the number of serviceable events that were open for this pSeries server during the last measurement period. Number Ideally, the value of this measure should be zero. The detailed diagnosis of this measure lists the reference code of the serviceable event, the status code of the event, the message of the event and the last creation time of the event.

This measure would be reported only if the EnableHMCEvents flag in the <eG_INSTALL_DIR>\manager\config\eg_tests.ini file is set to yes.
Recnt_closed_evnts Indicates the number of serviceable events that were closed for this pSeries server during the last measurement period. Number This measure would be reported only if the EnableHMCEvents flag in the <eG_INSTALL_DIR>\manager\config\eg_tests.ini file is set to yes.
Recnt_console_evnts Indicates the number of console events that were opened and closed for this pSeries server during the last measurement period. Number This measure would be reported only if the EnableHMCEvents flag in the <eG_INSTALL_DIR>\manager\config\eg_tests.ini file is set to yes.
