Measures reported by HPEvaDiskStsTest

This test reports the current operational state, capacity, and accessibility of each physical disk on the EVA array.

The measures made by this test are as follows:

Measurement Description Measurement Unit Interpretation
Operational_state Indicates the current operational mode of this LUN.   The table below displays the States that can be reported by this measure, and their numeric equivalents:

State Value
failed or bad 0
good, attention, or normal 1
unknown, not availabe, notinstalled, not_present, unsupported, etc. 2

Note:

By default, this measure reports one of the States listed in the table above. The graph of this measure however will represent the operational state using the numeric equivalents - ‘0’ to ‘2’.

The detailed diagnosis of this measure reports the allocated and requested capacity of each LUN.

Total_capacity Indicates the current formatted capacity of this disk. Millions of blocks
Drive_state Indicates the current state of this disk.   The table below displays the States that can be reported by this measure, and their numeric equivalents:

State Value
Offline 0
Online 1
Unknown 2

Note:

By default, this measure reports one of the States listed in the table above. The graph of this measure however will represent the drive state using the numeric equivalents - ‘0’ to ‘2’.

Media_access Indicates whether this disk is currently accessible or not.   The table below displays the Responses returned by this measure, and their numeric equivalents:

Response Value
yes 0
no 1
unknown 2

Note:

By default, this measure reports one of the Responses listed in the table above. The graph of this measure however will represent media accessibility using the numeric equivalents - ‘0’ to ‘2’.

Failure_predict Indicates whether failure of this disk has been predicted.   The table below displays the Responses returned by this measure, and their numeric equivalents:

Response Value
yes 0
no 1
unknown 2

Note:

By default, this measure reports one of the Responses listed in the table above. The graph of this measure however will represent failure predicted using the numeric equivalents - ‘0’ to ‘2’.
