Measures reported by XenPoolServersTest

This test auto-discovers the XenServers in the pool, and reports the availability of each XenServer. In addition, the test also indicates which server is currently the master server in the pool.

Measurement Description Measurement Unit Interpretation
Is_server_enabled Indicates the availability of this server in the pool. Boolean The value 1 for this measure indicates the availability of the server in the pool and the value 0 indicates the non-availability of the server.

The detailed diagnosis will provide the details such as the hostname, hostIP, and product version of the member server.

Is_this_master Indicates whether this server is currently the master server of the pool? Boolean The value 1 for this measure indicates that the server in question is the master server of the Xen pool , and the value 0 indicates that the server is only a member server.

Typically, all tests mapped to the Xen server pool component-type execute only on the master server. If the master server is not available, then all the tests mapped to the Xen server pool will fail. In such a situation, this test will enable you to troubleshoot the reason for the failure. This is because, using the value reported by this measure, you can instantly determine whether a member server has assumed the role of the master, and if so, which member it is.

The detailed diagnosis will provide the hostname and the IP address of the master server.
