Measures reported by FcPowerStatusTest

This test reports the administrative and operational status of the power supply units of the switch.

 The measures made by this test are as follows:

Measurement Description Measurement Unit Interpretation
PowerAdminStatus Indicates the administratively desired FRU power state. Number This measure can report any value from 1 to 5. The values and the states they represent are discussed hereunder:

1 - On

2 - Off

3 - inlineAuto

4 - inlineOn

5 - PowerCycle
PowerOperStatus Indicates the operational FRU power state.   This measure can report any of the following values:
  • OffEnvOther
  • On
  • OffAdmin
  • OffDefined
  • OffEnvPower
  • OffEnvTemperature
  • OffEnvFan
  • Failed
  • On but fan failed
  • Off - Cooling
  • Off- Connector Rating

The numeric values that correspond to each of the above-mentioned states are as follows:

Note:

By default, this measure reports one of the States listed above. The graph of this measure however, represents the operational status of a power supply unit using the numeric equivalents - 1 to 11.
