Measures reported by FcVSanTest
A virtual storage area network (VSAN) is a collection of ports from a set of connected Fibre Channel switches, that form a virtual fabric. This test reports the current configurable and operational status of the VSANs.
The measures
made by this test are as
follows:
| Measurement |
Description |
Measurement
Unit |
Interpretation |
| AdminMode |
Represents the configurable state of this VSAN. |
  |
If this measure returns the value Up, it indicates that this VSAN is configured and the services are activated. The value Down for this measure, on the other hand, indicates that the VSAN is configured, but the services are deactivated.
The numeric values that correspond to each of the above-mentioned Up/down values are as follows:
Note:
By default, this measure reports one of the States listed above. The graph of this measure however, represents the configurable state of a VSAN using the numeric equivalents - 1 or 2.
|
| OperMode |
Indicates the operational state of the VSAN - i.e., whether traffic can pass through this VSAN or not. |
  |
If this measure returns the value Up, it indicates that this VSAN is up and running and will allow traffic to pass through it. The value Down for this measure, on the other hand, indicates that the VSAN is down.
The numeric values that correspond to each of the above-mentioned Up/down values are as follows:
Note:
