Configuration of IISWebSitesTest
The IISWebSitesTest reports statistics pertaining to all the web sites running on an IIS web server. Note that, this test will not execute on the IIS Web servers v8 and above.
The default parameters associated with this test are as follows:
-
The TEST PERIOD list box helps the user to decide how often this test needs to be executed.
- In the HOST
text box, the host name of the component for which the test is to be
configured has to be specified.
- In the PORT
text box, specify the port at which the specified HOST listens.
-
In the WEBSITES
text box, 'all' is displayed by default. This indicates that by default, this test reports statistics related to all the web sites on the IIS web server. To monitor a particular web site, provide that web site's name in this text box. Multiple web sites can be specified as a comma-separated list. While providing web site names, ensure that the specification exactly matches (even in case) the instance names of the performance object, 'Web Service'.
When changing the
configuration for specific components, a “*” beside the text box
corresponding to the parameter signifies that these values have to be
manually configured by the user. The parameter values that require to
be configured will typically be prefixed with a “$” or contain a
series of “*”. A value of "none"
in the parameter value indicates that the corresponding parameter
value can be changed if required.
