Default Parameters for CassMsgDropTest The test auto-discovers the type of messages on the target Cassandra Database node and for each message type, reports the number of messages dropped and the time duration with which the messages were dropped from within the node and across the node. Using this test, administrators can figure out the messages of the message type that were dropped frequently and measure the maximum latency observed for the messages of each message type within the node and across nodes. This page depicts the default parameters that need to be configured for the CassMsgDropTest.
When changing default configurations of tests, the values with “$” indicate variables that will be replaced by the eG system according to the specific server being managed - for instance, $hostName is the host/nickname of the target host, $port is the port number of the server being monitored. E.g., for a server xyz:80, $hostName will be changed automatically by the eG manager to “xyz” and $port will be changed to “80” when configuring a test.
