Default Parameters for LHClusterPerfTest This test reports how well the cluster handles the I/O requests it receives. In addition, this test also reveals the time taken by the cluster to complete the read and write operations and the number of I/O operations that are pending on the cluster. This way, the test helps administrators to find out the processing bottleneck (if any) and take remedial actions before the slowness in I/O processing affects the performance of the storage system. This page depicts the default parameters that need to be configured for the LHClusterPerfTest test.
When changing default configurations of tests, the values with “$” indicate variables that will be replaced by the eG system according to the specific server being managed - for instance, $hostName is the host/nickname of the target host, $port is the port number of the server being monitored. E.g., for a server xyz:80, $hostName will be changed automatically by the eG manager to “xyz*” and $port will be changed to “80” when configuring a test.
