Adding a New Layer

This page appears when you click on the Add New Layer button in the INTEGRATION CONSOLE - LAYER page.

This page explains in detail about the inputs that should be specified to map a newly added test to an already existing layer or a new layer using Integration Console. Let us see each specification that needs to be provided in the following steps:

• In the Layer name text box, specify the name of the layer that is to be added.

  Note:

  Ensure that the layer name is suffixed by "_ex". Otherwise, users will not be permitted to add the new layer.

• If more than one pre-defined layer pre-exists, then an additional Duplicate flag will appear. By default, the Duplicate flag is set to No. Set this flag to Yes only if you want the new layer to inherit the attributes of another user-defined layer. In this case, a Layer to be duplicated drop-down will appear. From this drop-down, select the layer, the properties of which need to be acquired by the new layer being added.

• Then, click the Add button to add the new layer. The newly added layer will then appear in the list of User defined layers panel of the INTEGRATION CONSOLE - LAYER page.

The Back button enables the administrator to go back to the INTEGRATION CONSOLE - LAYER page.
