This page appears when the Modify icon against the discovered segments of the Discovered Segments page is clicked. The page provide you with the preview of the dicovered topology.

This page also helps you to manually alter the segment topology. If for some reason, any segment component was not automatically discovered by the eG agent, you can alter the segment topology ‘on-the-fly’ to include that component(s). For instance, say, the LDAP server talks to 2X Terminal server. Since the eG agent has not auto-discovered the inter-connection between the LDAP server and the 2X Terminal server, let us manually weave this relationship into the segment topology. In the Segments details section, do the folowing:

• The name of the segment can be modified in the Segment Name text box.
• Using this screen, you can also associate the segment being created with a zone, by selecting the zone from the Associated to the zone list. If the segment is not to be associated with any zone, then select None from the Associated to the zone list.
• Select a display image relevent to the segment, from the Choose display image dropdown.
• The type of component has to be first selected from the Start component type list box. This list box will list only those component-types in the environment/zone that have been managed by the eG Enterprise system. Then, choose the component from the Start Component drop down.
