Configuration of CtxXmlTicketTest

The CtxXmlTicketTest is used to validate that the XML to IMA service interaction and the interaction between the IMA service and the terminal service on each system are working as expected. The default parameters associated with this test are as follows:

  • The TEST PERIOD list box helps the user to decide how often this test needs to be executed.

  • In the HOST text box, the host name of the server for which the test is to be configured has to be specified.

  • The port number to which the server is listening is to be provided in the PORT text box.

  • This test connects to the web interface and issues an XML request asking the XML service for permission to login and access the application. Therefore, in the USER text box, provide a valid user name which the test should use for connecting to the web interface.

  • Provide the PASSWORD of the specified USER.

  • Confirm the password by retyping it in the CONFIRM PASSWORD box.

  • In the DOMAIN text box, provide the domain to which the user logs in.

  • A Citrix web interface can be set up to authenticate users by connecting to a Windows domain, or a Unix domain, or a Novell domain. The DOMAINTYPE value represents the type of domain being used to validate the user. The default value is "NT". For Unix, use "UNIX" and for Novell, use "NDS" in the DOMAINTYPE setting.

  • The web interface through which these tests are executing may be configured for HTTP or HTTPS access. If HTTPS access is configured, then the SSL parameter should be set to YES. The default setting is NO.

  • In the XMLHOST and XMLPORT text boxes, provide the IP/hostname and port number (respectively) of the web interface to which this test will attempt to connect.

  • If multiple components of the same component type are awaiting configuration, then an APPLY TO OTHER COMPONENTS check box will appear in this page. Clicking on this check box will allow you to apply the configuration to all/selected components of that type.

  • Once the necessary values have been provided, clicking on the UPDATE button will register the changes made.

When changing the configuration for specific servers, a “*” beside the text box corresponding to the parameter signifies that these values have to be manually configured by the user. The parameter values that require to be configured will typically be prefixed with a “$” or contain a series of “*”. A value of "none" in the parameter value indicates that the corresponding parameter value can be changed if required.
