Configuration of StreamTunable_cf STREAMS represent a collection of system calls, kernel resources, and kernel utility routines that can create, use, and dismantle a stream. A stream is a full-duplex processing and data transfer path between a driver in kernel space and a process in user space. The STREAMS mechanism constructs a stream by serially connecting kernel-resident STREAMS components, each constructed from a specific set of structures. Certain system parameters referenced by STREAMS are configurable during system boot or while the system is running. These parameters are tunable based on requirements. The default parameters associated with this test are as follows:
When changing the configuration for specific servers, a “*” beside the text box corresponding to the parameter signifies that these values have to be manually configured by the user. The parameter values that require to be configured will typically be prefixed with a “$” or contain a series of “*”. A value of "none" in the parameter value indicates that the corresponding parameter value can be changed if required.
