To access this page, click on the icon available in the Admin tab. Then, select the Component option from the Threshold sub-menu in the Alerts tile.

The Specific Thresholds page with Component type list box and Component name list box is viewed. The Specific Thresholds option allows the user to configure the thresholds for individual components of a chosen component type.

Suppose if you choose Windows as the Component type from Specific Threshold page, then the components pertaining to that component type will be populated in the Component name list box. Upon choosing a particular component from the Component name list, the tests with their corresponding threshold settings will be listed. Suppose if global threshold has been set for any test, then such tests will be listed under the Tests with Global Thresholds section.

The Tests with Group Thresholds list box will appear only if the chosen component is associated with a Threshold Component Group. The tests for which a threshold rule is applied will be listed under this Tests with Group Thresholds list box.

If specific threshold is set previously for any test, then such test will be listed under the Tests with Specific Thresholds list box. All other tests will be listed in the Tests with Default Thresholds list box.

Suppose if you wish to set specific threshold for the Disk Activity test, then choose that test from the Tests with Specific Thresholds/Tests with Default Thresholds list box (whichever applicable) and click the Modify button.

To define descriptor-specific thresholds, select the test from either the Tests with Default Thresholds list box or the Tests with Specific Thresholds list box and click on the Descriptors button. For example, you can select the Disk Activity test from the Tests with Specific Thresholds/Tests with Default Thresholds list box (whichever applicable) and click on the Descriptors button. Now, the Descriptors with component threshold settings section will appear in this page listing all the descriptors of the chosen test.

Click on the descriptor of your choice to set the specific thresholds. Once the thresholds have been set for the chosen descriptor, when you revisit this page, you will find that the descriptor is now listed under the Descriptors with specific threshold settings section.
