Sometimes, administrators might want to analyze the performance of a few, selected components within a zone. If the concerned zone consists of hundreds of components, then picking the candidates for analysis from an endless component-list would pose quite a challenge for administrators. Therefore, to enable administrators to quickly and effectively analyze the problems and the overall performance of one/more components that are part of a zone, eG Enterprise allows the configuration of Zone Views.

A Zone View can best be described as a subset of a zone, comprising of mission-critical components that are part of a zone.

This page appears when the ADD NEW VIEW button in LIST OF VIEWS page is clicked, and facilitates the creation of a new zone view. First, provide a unique VIEW NAME in the space provided. Then, proceed to indicate from which zone the new view borrows components. You can indicate this by selecting a zone from the LIST OF ZONES list box in this page. Then, to add the new view, simply click on the ADD button in this page.
