Configuration
of O9iDriverTest
The O9iDriverTest reports the
performance metrics related to the JDBC connection in an Oracle application server instance.
The default parameters
associated with this test are as follows:
-
In the PORT text
box, it is recommended that you provide the port at which the OPMN (Oracle
Process Manager and Notification) process of the Oracle application server
instance listens. To know at which port OPMN listens, click on the Ports tab
in the following URL: http://<oraHttpServerIP>:<OraHttpServerport>.
This tab lists the port numbers that were assigned to the services executing
on the Oracle application server. The port number displayed against the Oracle
notification server request port entry is the OPMN port, and the same
should be specified in the PORT text box.
When changing the
configuration for specific servers, a “*” beside the text box
corresponding to the parameter signifies that these values have to be
manually configured by the user. The parameter values that require to be
configured will typically be prefixed with a “$” or contain a series of
“*”. A value of "none"
in the parameter value indicates that the corresponding parameter
value can be changed if required.
Note:
-
To effectively monitor an Oracle application server on Unix, ensure that the install user of the application server and that of the eG agent (which is monitoring the application server) are the same.
Any component on an Oracle 9i Application server (be it OC4J or the Oracle HTTP server) can be monitored by eG only if the Oracle 9i Application Server Release 2.0 is installed, with dmctl and dmstool.
