Default Parameters for CtxGwSvcTest

To establish all connections from the Citrix Cloud Gateway Connector to the cloud, the connector should be registered with the Citrix Cloud services. If the target connector is not registered, availability of the Citrix Cloud service will deny users access to their critical applications/desktops. Slowness in accessing the cloud can have an adverse impact on the user experience with the cloud. To avoid this, administrators should periodically check the whether the connector has been registered and proactively detect potential anomalies, and immediately initiate measures to pre-empt such abnormalities. This is what the CCtxGwSvcTest does.

This page depicts the default parameters that need to be configured for the CtxGwSvcTest.

  • The TEST PERIOD list box helps the user to decide how often this test needs to be executed.

  • To monitor a Citrix Cloud Gateway Connector, the eG agent should be configured with the credentials of a user with read-only privileges to the target connector. Specify the credentials of such a user in the USERNAME and PASSWORD text boxes.

  • Confirm the password by retyping it in CONFIRM PASSWORD text box.

  • By default, the SSL flag is set to No indicating that the eG agent will communicate with the connector via HTTP by default. If the target connector is SSL-enabled, then set this flag to Yes to enable the eG agent to communicate with target connector via HTTPS.

  • Once the necessary values have been provided, clicking on the UPDATE button will register the changes made.

When changing default configurations of tests, the values with “$” indicate variables that will be replaced by the eG system according to the specific server being managed - for instance, $hostName is the host/nickname of the target host, $port is the port number of the server being monitored. E.g., for a server xyz:80, $hostName will be changed automatically by the eG manager to “xyz*” and $port will be changed to “80” when configuring a test.
