Configuration of MySQLBinLogTest The binary log is a set of log files that contain information about data modifications made to a MySQL server instance. This test reports the number of log files in the binary log and tracks the total size of the binary log. This test also periodically reports the growth of the binary log. Using this test, administrators can figure out abnormal growth patterns of the binary log and analyze the reason behind the same. Detailed Diagnostics reveal the exact name of the log files that have been modified recently. The default parameters associated with this test are:
When changing the configuration for specific servers, a “*” beside the text box corresponding to the parameter signifies that these values have to be manually configured by the user. The parameter values that require to be configured will typically be prefixed with a “$” or contain a series of “*”. A value of "none" in the parameter value indicates that the corresponding parameter value can be changed if required.
