Default Parameters for WVDInfoTest Each session host has a Azure Virtual Desktop agent, which registers the VM as part of the Azure Virtual Desktop service framework. The agent acts as the intermediate communicator between the service and the virtual machines, enabling connectivity. If an agent is unable to register with the service, then the corresponding VM will not be able to connect to the service. This is why, it is important that administrators are promptly alerted to issues in agent registration. With the help of the WVDInfoTest test, administrators can receive such important problem notifications promptly! This test periodically checks whether the agent on a chosen session host / AVD is registered with the service; if not, an alert to this effect is sent out to the administrator. This page depicts the default parameters that need to be configured for the WVDInfoTest test.
When changing default configurations of tests, the values with “$” indicate variables that will be replaced by the eG system according to the specific server being managed - for instance, $hostName is the host/nickname of the target host, $port is the port number of the server being monitored. E.g., for a server xyz:80, $hostName will be changed automatically by the eG manager to “xyz*” and $port will be changed to “80” when configuring a test. |
