Default Parameters for IBMDb2BackupTestre This test reports the statistics pertaining to the backups performed on the target DB2 database server. Using this test, administrators can figure out the count of backups that failed and the count of backup jobs that were completed successfully. In addition, this test reports the maximum time taken to complete the backup jobs. By closely monitoring the measures reported by this test, administrators can pin point the jobs that failed and the further analyze on why the backup jobs failed and rectify the failure at the earliest. This page depicts the default parameters that need to be configured for the IBMDb2BackupTest.
When changing default configurations of tests, the values with “$” indicate variables that will be replaced by the eG system according to the specific server being managed - for instance, $hostName is the host/nickname of the target host, $port is the port number of the server being monitored. E.g., for a server xyz:80, $hostName will be changed automatically by the eG manager to “xyz” and $port will be changed to “80” when configuring a test.
