Agents Administration - Tests

Configuration of NvidiaHealthTest

This test monitors the target license server and instantly reports connection failure, if any, between the license server and the database. This test also reveals whether/not security feature is enabled on the license server. Using the measure reported by this test, administrators can instantly find out whether/not the license server is HTTP authentication-enabled.

The default parameters associated with this test are:

  • The TEST PERIOD list box helps the user to decide How often should the test be executed. By default, the Test Period is set to 5 minutes.

  • In the HOST text box, specify the host for which the test is to be configured.

  • Specify the port at which the NVIDIA License server is listening in the PORT text box.

  • By default, the SSL flag is set to No indicating that the NVIDIA License server is not SSL-enabled and communicates with the eG agent via HTTP connection. However, you can set the SSL flag to Yes if the NVIDIA License server is SSLenabled. Doing so will enable the eG agent to communicate with the license server via HTTPS.

  • If multiple components of the same component type are awaiting configuration, then an APPLY TO OTHER COMPONENTS check box will appear in this page. Clicking on this check box will allow you to apply the configuration to all/selected components of that type.

  • Once the above values are provided, click on the UPDATE button to register the changes made.

  • When changing default configurations of tests, the values with “$” indicate variables that will be replaced by the eG system according to the specific server being managed - for instance, $hostName is the host/nickname of the target host, $port is the port number of the server being monitored. E.g., for a server xyz:80, $hostName will be changed automatically by the eG manager to “xyz*” and $port will be changed to “80” when configuring a test.
