Default Parameters for NvidiaHealthTest

This test monitors the target license server and instantly reports connection failure, if any, between the license server and the database. This test also reveals whether/not security feature is enabled on the license server. Using the measure reported by this test, administrators can instantly find out whether/not the license server is HTTP authentication-enabled.

This page depicts the default parameters that need to be configured for the NvidiaHealthTest.

  • The TEST PERIOD list box helps the user to decide How often should the test be executed. By default, the Test Period is set to 5 minutes.

  • By default, the SSL flag is set to No indicating that the NVIDIA License server is not SSL-enabled and communicates with the eG agent via HTTP connection. However, you can set the SSL flag to Yes if the NVIDIA License server is SSLenabled. Doing so will enable the eG agent to communicate with the license server via HTTPS..

  • Once the above values are provided, click on the UPDATE button to register the changes made.

When changing default configurations of tests, the values with “$” indicate variables that will be replaced by the eG system according to the specific server being managed - for instance, $hostName is the host/nickname of the target host, $port is the port number of the server being monitored. E.g., for a server xyz:80, $hostName will be changed automatically by the eG manager to “xyz” and $port will be changed to “80” when configuring a test.
