Configuration
of Sun1EjbPoolTest
Use the Click here hyperlink in this page to configure the EJB groups to be monitored. Note that the eG system monitors only those EJBs that belong to an EJB group. The default parameters associated with this test are as follows:
-
In the HOST
text box, the host name of the server for which the test is to be
configured has to be specified.
-
In
the PORT text box, specify the port at which the specified HOST
listens.
-
In
the USER text box, specify a valid user name for the server to
be monitored.
-
Specify
the PASSWORD of the above-mentioned USER.
-
In
the ADMINPORT text box, enter the port number on which the
"asadmin" tool listens.
-
Then,
specify the name of the SERVER to be monitored.
-
The
install directory of the server has to be specified in the APPSERVERDIR
text box.
-
By default, the eG suite allows administrators to configure EJB groups using the eG administrative interface, and reports metrics pertaining to every group so created. Accordingly, by default, AUTODISCOVERY is set to NO. If you want EJBs to be discovered and monitored automatically, then select the YES option against AUTODISCOVERY. When this is done, the eG agent automatically discovers all the EJBs on the SunONE application server, and reports one set of measures for every EJB hosted on the server.
When changing the
configuration for specific servers, a “*” beside the text box
corresponding to the parameter signifies that these values have to be
manually configured by the user. The parameter values that require to
be configured will typically be prefixed with a “$” or contain a
series of “*”. A value of "none"
in the parameter value indicates that the corresponding parameter
value can be changed if required.
